The number of violent crimes is rising here in Nashville. Some say it happens in every area filled with rapid growth. While that doesn't make me comfortable, I understand. But the very alarming stat involves violent crimes committed by people who are out on bond. The number of people who post bail after committing a crime, who then go out and commit another crime while they're awaiting trial, is shocking.
